Verizon is giving out a free device to customers willing to take out a two year contract that provides unlimited minutes for $19.99/month to customers needing a home phone line.
This is being marketed by Verizon as a home phone solution that allows consumers to plug their older land line corded and cordless phones into the device.
Interestingly, the unit has a built-in battery that will give from 2-4 hours of talk time and approximately 3 days of standby time. This opens up the possibility of using it as a car phone, or a mobile office phone or even a backpack phone assuming one isn’t inconvenienced by carrying around a land-line phone and a 12 ounce 5″x7″x1.5″ black box.
For those wondering, employee discounts will not be applied to the $19.99/month plan.
